Masters of Sex’s Lizzy Caplan has been in pretty much everything! Well, not literally everything. But she has appeared in Party Down, Bachelorette, New Girl, Smallville, 127 Hours, The League and in the Marvel One-Shot: Item 47.
You already knew that, though. What you might not know is that Caplan was also on Freaks & Geeks, co-starred in Mean Girls, and was Jason Mraz’s love interest in a music video made almost 13 years ago.

Yes, that was Lizzy Caplan as Sara on Freaks and Geeks. She appeared in the pilot, as well as a few more episodes, but her biggest claim to fame on the show is asking Jason Segal what he’s doing, to which he answered, “Thinking about ABBA.” Aren’t we all, Jason?

“You And I Both”
Yes, that was Lizzy Caplan in that obscure Jason Mraz music video for “You and I Both.” In 2001, Caplan was still a struggling actress and struggling actresses love getting work in music videos. Caplan played a comely bank teller in the video that Mraz’s protagonist wants to hook up with, only everything goes terribly awry.

Yes, Lizzy Caplan was Janis Ian. Sure, everyone know that Mean Girls launched Rachel McAdams and featured a young Amanda Seyfried, but people will still act surprised when you point out that Lizzy Caplan was Janis Ian. Maybe it’s because she had a little bit of baby fat in the film or maybe it’s because she was hidden under layers of eye shadow. Nevertheless, Lizzy Caplan was in Mean Girls.
