Surely there are a few of you out there who are as fascinated by Jeremy Piven’s hair as I am. It seems to defy the laws of nature, doesn’t it? Back in the ’90s, it was thinning, his hairline was very high, his forehead a shiny beacon of light. Then, in the early aughts, Piven nabbed the high-profile supporting role of Ari Gold, the ruthless agent on Entourage (which you can stream on HBO Go and Amazon Instant Video). It was a much juicier role than his previous ones from the ’90s, when he played a variety smarmy sidekicks. Naturally, an almost-leading role called for a leading man’s haircut, and Piven’s hairline magically lowered, his hair thickened, his forehead dulled like a dying star. It’s an interesting phenomenon, no? Below, an examination of how Piven’s hair has morphed throughout his career.
