It’s Thursday afternoon and chances are you’re bored at your desk. There’s literally nothing else to do, but unfortunately it’s uncouth to leave before the socially acceptable hour of 5 (if you’re lucky). No worries, here’s a quick and dirty 20-minute episode to kill some time and hopefully keep you entertained as the busy week slowly comes to an end. This week’s Afternoon Delight special is the British comedy series, The Inbetweeners.
Meet Will McKenzie. Will is a briefcase wanker. Or at least that’s what everyone at his new school is telling him. After his parents divorce, Will has to transfer from private to public school where he meets the motley crew of awkward Simon Cooper, pervy Jay Cartwright, and moronic Neil Sutherland who have no choice to accept lame Will into their friend group because in high school, the dweebs are stronger in numbers. Despite their differences, the boys share one mission — to lose their virginities as soon as the universe will allow.
The raunchy situational comedy premiered on E4 in England back in 2008. It was canceled after three short seasons, but was granted The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011 and due to popular demand, a second movie aired earlier this summer. Make sure you have your headphones on for this one because it’s wildly inappropriate for work — not that any of our Afternoon Delight suggestions are suitable for the office, but this one is on a whole ‘nother level. Watch 20-minute episodes on Netflix, but in the meantime here’s a clip to get you warmed up.
