E!’s red carpet coverage is the best / worst part of any awards ceremony, with Ross Mathews and Giuliana Rancic grilling poor famous people who just want to show up, win an award (or lose with dignity), and get drunk afterward. Instead, they’re forced to parade in front of cameras, answer inane questions, and shove their fingers into a camera lens otherwise known as the “mani cam.” This year, E! stepped up its game and brought a new invasion of privacy: the clutch cam. Before any of these nominated women get to say yes or no, Rancic has been grabbing their handbags all night long and practically dumping the contents out at her feet.
Naturally, hilarity ensued when she interrogated an already… well, loopy, we’ll say? A very distant Sarah Silverman. And naturally the comedian showed off how she manages to stay relaxed during the insanity of the red carpet process: her vape pen.
