Final Shots: A Comedy Based On Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo Is In The Works

River Cuomo’s life may be coming to a TV screen/laptop near you. The Weezer frontman and Steve Franks, the creator of Psych, are teaming up on a single-camera comedy, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Fox has made a put pilot commitment to the show, which focuses on a successful thirtysomething musician who walks away from rock stardom to return to college, just like Cuomo did after the second Weezer album. The project is still a ways away though. As Cuomo himself pointed out on Twitter, “Pretty much every show makes a pilot before it goes on the air. Only 1 in 100 goes on 2 become a regular show.”
