Peter Pan Goes Brooklyn: Here’s Your First Look At Allison Williams In Neverland

The reaction to the news that Allison Williams will be playing the boy who refuses to grow up in NBC’s upcoming Peter Pan Live! was mixed at best. Sure, she can carry a tune as well as anyone who has picked up a microphone in a karaoke bar (which she has proven, perhaps unwisely, on Girls). Yet one wonders how Williams will fare in her first leading role — a live television event, no less, and a fully fledged musical. Will she hold her own against Christopher Walken as Captain Hook? Will she be able to hit those high notes à la the original production’s star, Mary Martin? Will she get tangled up in those wires while she is flying?

There are so many unanswered questions, but NBC has at least provided one answer to the burning question: will Peter Pan look like he lives in Greenpoint? The answer, unfortunately, is yes.

I mean, cool boots, huh? I think I’ve seen a pair of those on Zappos. I’m not quite sold on the fishnet short-sleeved undershirt, though.
