Final Shots: Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans Will Duke It Out In ‘Captain America 3’

Maybe this is why Robert Downey, Jr. said there were no plans for Iron Man 4. The actor is reportedly this close to signing on to co-star alongside Chris Evans in Captain America 3, according to Variety. While it may seem strange for Downey, Jr. to star in a Marvel movie that doesn’t focus on Tony Stark – aside from The Avengers movies, in which he is part of the titular team – it’s because he’ll be playing the villain this time around. Well, sort of. The movie will bring the Marvel comic book universe’s “Civil War” story line to the big screen. In the original story, the two heroes find themselves on opposite side of a plan to force superheroes to register with and reveal their secret identities to the government, something Iron Man is for but that Captain America feels violates the heroes’ civil liberties. The movie is arrive in theaters on May 6, 2016.
