When we last checked in with Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy, she was contemplating her future in a delightful web series called, “What’s Next For Sarah?” Well, it looks like what’s next for Jennette McCurdy isn’t college, marriage, or pop stardom. It’s Netflix.

McCurdy is set to star in the new Netflix original series, Between. The thriller sounds like it will be something like Logan’s Run meets The Walking Dead. Basically, a disease has killed everyone over the age of 21 in a small town and everyone left standing must battle to survive. Between will be co-produced by Canadian network City. The six-episode series will debut on City and on the new Canadian streaming service, shomi, and will be available for American viewers on Netflix. Netflix has already co-produced series like Happy Valley and Peaky Blinders with British broadcasters, but Between marks Netflix’s very first collaboration with a Canadian network.

If you can’t wait until Between premieres to get your McCurdy fix, might we suggest “What’s Next For Sarah?” The web series is short, sweet, funny, and features a hilarious send up of McCurdy’s former co-star, Ariana Grande.
