HAPPY #HANKSGIVING! Draw Your Own Tom Hanks Turkey!

Decider is giving thanks for Tom Hanks and his illustrious film career by devoting a full week to the actor, his films, and his enduring influence on pop culture. It’s Hanksgiving Week!

No one can tell for sure when the first Hanksgiving happened. Some say it happened when families across America basked in the glory of Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies. Others whisper that it didn’t become a real holiday until Hanks took home his first Academy Award. Still some sage old men tell of a strange mystical event, somewhere remote, like where they have Burning Man, where all the characters that Tom Hanks ever brought to life met, broke bread, and brought one moment of perfect peace to the Earth. And then there are the people who say it’s just a dumb Internet joke that went too far.

In any case, Decider is celebrating Hanksgiving this week. We’re going to pay loving tribute to the life and work of Tom Hanks. To kick off our celebration, we’re going to teach you how to make your own Hanksgiving Turkey.

It’s easy! Trace your beautiful hand. (Yes, your hand is beautiful!) Then, click here to print out the image below and cut out the Tom Hanks head of your choice. You can choose between “Big Tom Hanks,” “Cast Away Tom Hanks,” or “IRL Tom Hanks.” Place the head on the thumb of your traced hand turkey. Then, color and decorate the Hanksgiving Turkey as you see fit. Keep it traditional or go totally crazy. Either way, snap a photo and share your amazing creation on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #HANKSGIVING. We want to see your art!
