You can always find a friend in a bartender, especially when he's a ghost like Lloyd in 'The Shining,' who feeds you information about your scheming wife and child in the hopes that you'll murder them before killing yourself.

Would could forget Brad the hunky bartender (played by Craig Kvinsland) in PT Anderson's 'Magnolia,' who was the object of many a man's affections and probably the hottest guy to ever sport a set of braces.

If you're gonna take a cruise, you're likely going to drink a lot to combat your sea-sickness. And who better to serve you than Ted Lange's groovy bartender Isaac Washington from the long-running soap, 'The Love Boat'?

Carrie-Anne Moss' Natalie may be memorable (heh) in 'Memento', but that doesn't mean she's a bartender any of us would want to share our secrets with.

We wouldn't trust the gang from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' with anything other than keeping us absolutely blitzed at Paddy's Pub.

![The Simpsons Moe](https://cdn.statically.io/img/decider.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/the-simpsons.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=1024)
Springfield's perennial bartender Moe Szyslak might be kind of a grump, but he's a town staple and 'The Simpsons' wouldn't be the same without him.

In his Grindhouse offering, 'Death Proof', Quentin Tarantino turns up swinging drinks and chattin' up the ladies (as well as the deadly Stuntman Mike) in his Austin, Texas dive bar.

Deadwood's resident bar proprietor and pimp Al Swearengen (played by Ian McShane) pretty much runs the town, so he's definitely a good ally to have (and it's only a bonus that he'd serve you whiskey).

In the modern update to the classic British comedy, Jude Law's Alfie tries to put in a good word with his buddy's ex-girlfriend in order to help him win her back. But Lonette (played by Nia Long) only gets Alfie drunk enough to bone her on a pool table.

The gals from 'Coyote Ugly' put most of their male counterparts to shame, managing to balance mixology and dance moves while tending bar.

Sam Malone and Woody Boyd (Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson) make the perfect pair to visit at your regular haunt, Cheers: one's sober, one's a doofus, but they'll lend and ear and keep your glass filled to the brim.

You can't come up with a list of the most memorable bartenders without including Tom Cruise's bottle-flipping and Elizabeth Shue-bedding
