Kevin Spacey Headlines PBS Tribute To Billy Joel

Billy Joel: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize premieres on PBS tonight, Friday, January 2 at 9 p.m. (check your local listings, though, or keep an eye out for it on the PBS app). The tribute features a star-studded line-up: Tony Bennett, Boyz II Men, Gavin DeGraw, Michael Feinstein, Josh Groban, Natalie Maines, John Mellencamp and LeAnn Rimes, as well as dance ensemble performances from Twyla Tharp’s “Movin’ Out” and footage from Joel’s performances over the years. Oh, and did we mention Keyser Soze himself is there to chip in some vocals and harmonica action?

Want some proof of that harmonica action? (Eat your heart out, John Popper!)

So get yourself some tonic and gin, pour yourself a drink (hopefully not one called Loneliness), grab your dog eared copy of Paul the Real Estate Novelist’s latest book, and settle in tonight for what’s sure to be the finest tribute concert of this young year so far!
