Well, you knew Fifty Shades of Grey was never going to be rated NC-17 no matter how much some diehards hoped. The MPAA passed judgment on the film today, and as expected the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan-starring adaptation of E.L. James S&M novel is going to be rated R, reports Variety. The reasons for the classification: sexual content, graphic nudity and… “unusual behavior.” Yup, that’s what the MPAA is citing in their explanation for the movie’s rating.
