NBC’s critically acclaimed, but not particularly well-watched, Hannibal won’t be debuting mid-season as it has the last two years, but don’t worry just yet, it’s not been cancelled only delayed. The third season of the gory (but surprisingly beautiful) thriller will premiere this summer, reports Entertainment Weekly. While fans of the show may view this as the network shunting the show off so it can die a quiet death, NBC Chairman Bob Greenblat claims that’s not what’s happening at all. “It’s a show we love, it’s critically acclaimed, we love it,” he said. “And we also love summer. We have exciting plans for summer.”
