If you ask me, there’s only one reason to even consider watching Once Upon A Time and that’s Colin Donaghue’s swaggering take on Captain Hook. He’s hot, he’s sensitive, and he’s not the bad guy. Well, he occasionally does bad things, but in a “bad boy” sort of way, which is different from doing bad things in a “bad guy” kind of way. He’s hot. That’s all I’m saying. Nothing says danger like Kevin Kline singing Gilbert & Sullivan. Okay, I kid. But this film, based on Joseph Papp’s stage production is actually weirdly influential.
