In extremely exciting news for people who like good comedy, Louis C.K. just dropped his new special on the Internet. That means you can watch it from wherever you’re sitting right now!

In a long, rambling email that’s well worth reading in full, he explains why he chose to shoot this new special, Live At The Comedy Store, in, well, The Comedy Store. Long story short, it’s a place that still excites him because there’s a chance that he could bomb. In related news, I hope everyone reading this is so successful in their chosen careers that the thought of failure in front of a large group of people gets you just as hot and bothered.

And get this, it only cost $5 to stream it right now. Considering that Louis C.K. is currently one of the funniest people alive on this planet, this feels like a total steal. But speaking of steals, don’t, like, actually steal it. I’m not telling you that because I’m up on some moral high horse, but because Louis is literally asking his fans not to do that. Why? Because people who torrent $5 comedy specials are why we can’t have nice things.

In his own words:

“Please PLEASE don’t torrent this special. If you want to share it, direct people here. It’s so easy to drop the 5 dollars. We don’t make you join anything. We let you use the file any way you want. It costs a shitload of money to make these specials and I do it myself. I love offering it to you directly for so cheap and so easily. I would like that to continue to be a good idea.”
