Afternoon Delight

Afternoon Delight: ‘Eat Our Feelings’, Part Bushwick Commentary, Part Cooking Show

It’s Thursday. Which means it’s almost Friday. Which means you can probably get away with slacking a bit on your lunch hour. If you’re in need of something short and sweet to watch at your desk, we have you covered with some Afternoon Delight. This week’s pick is web series, Eat Our Feelings, from Brooklyn-based cookin’ ladies Sasha Winters and Emma Jane Gonzalez.

In their hipster commentary/cooking series extravaganza, Shasha and Emma venture into the foodie subcultures of Bushwick and Williamsburg, and are met with disappointing, overpriced restaurant experiences, even if they technically are able to satisfy picky urban palettes. In “Brunch,” directed by Adam Goldman, Sasha and Emma meet brunch snobs (played by Michael Cyril Creighton of High Maintenance and Dylan Marron of Whatever This Is) for some very tacky mid-morning eats. After an epic “brunch club” fail, the gals head back home to whip up something we can all easily make in our cramped NYC apartments. These ladies may be the trendsetters that save fellow New Yorkers from overpriced Huevos Benedict and watered-down mimosas.

All episodes and recipes are available on their website.
