We know they call it the “boob tube,” but this is ridiculous!

Nickelodeon is coming under fire after an 8-year-old boy spotted a pair of bare female breasts in a March 5th episode of Oggy And The Cockroaches, a French cartoon series that the troubled Viacom channel has been airing for a few years now. The episode, “Smile/(Un)Happy Camper!/Butterfly Race,” contained a scene in which a character walks into a food truck (for some reason) that contains an image of a topless woman. That scene in question:

If you feel compelled to watch the whole scene for context (or something), here it is (via TMZ):

This controversy could not come at a worse time for the one-time basic cable powerhouse. Ratings are down about 15% from this same time period last year, and the company is widely acknowledged to have lost a large chunk of its audience to streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. In an attempt to combat this downturn, Nick recently launched Noggin, a streaming video service aimed at pre-school children that costs $5.99/mo. Viacom has yet to release any information about this program’s success, but either way, this particular episode of Oggy has been pulled from all linear airings and is no longer available to watch online, either.

Sacre bleu!
