Get A First Look At Paul Feig’s Space-Set Sitcom, ‘Other Space’

Paul Feig may have found recent success directing big-screen comedies like Bridesmaids and The Heat (and the anticipated female-led Ghostbusters reboot), but his directorial debut was the beloved TV series Freaks and Geeks, which he also created. This month he returns to the small screen with another comedy about a crew of misfits — only instead of 1980-era suburban Detroit, this ragtag group of misfits is in an even more unsettling and uncharted territory: outer space.

While the first trailer for Other Space, which premieres on Yahoo Screen April 14, looks charmingly low-budget and full of awkward humor from a cast made up of UCB alumni (and the girl from the AT&T commercials). Perhaps most exciting is seeing Mystery Science Theater 3000 stars Joel Hodgson and Trace Beaulieu reunited in space, hoarding off the occasional alien attack and dealing with their robot coworker (think of it as The Office, only it’s socially awkward characters are also gravitationally challenged).

Check out the trailer for Other Space (spotted via Splitsider) below.
