The Get Down finally has its dance partners. Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Netflix series about four Bronx teens trying to survive in 1970s Bronx “armed with only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans” finally has its leads, reports Variety. Tremain Brown Jr. will play the older than his years Boo-Boo, Justice Smith will play the smart and savy Ezekiel, Shameik Moore will play the enigmatic Shaolin Fantastic, and Skylan Brooks will play the loyal and protective Ra-Ra. The Romeo+Juliet filmmaker will executive produce the series, as well as direct the first two episodes and the finale. The Get Down premieres next year.
