On Sunday afternoon, the former Secretary of State, New York senator, and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton announced she’s running for President in 2016. After the initial Internet craze following her announcement, those of us at Decider couldn’t help but wonder: what the heck is she going to watch on all these upcoming trips?! Like you, we hate traveling, and can’t fathom the tenacity it must take for a candidate to barrel through each state spreading the word about their campaign. So in light of Clinton’s announcement, we thought we’d do our part in helping the Dem choose what to watch during her next nineteen months on the road.

Right or left or in between (and we know this is a long shot), every politician should give John Oliver a watch. It’s light enough so you won’t feel like you’re ending your day with more politics, but his topics are so fully researched, you can’t help but tune in to the fascinating findings he and his team draw up. In this latest season of Veep, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the foul-mouthed interim POTUS Selina Meyer, who finally, finally, is able to call some of the shots around the White House after being stuck as Vice President for the last two years. Don’t worry though, we haven’t spoiled anything for you; the political satire is a must-watch all the way through to get to know her insane staff and their even more batty shenanigans. Keep things in perspective with: 'Game of Thrones'
Let’s face it, Hillary, the next year and change is going to be a tough one, but when you’re gearing up for the primaries, you’ll be able to take a deep breath and come to the rather comforting conclusion that, hey, at least you’re not in Kings Landing. (Could you imagine being involved in that political nightmare? A bunch of kingdoms fighting to the death over a giant, uncomfortable-looking chair?) Get to know the families of Westeros and indulge in the blood, guts, scandal, and sex that is Game of Thrones. Seriously, this could be a major advantage in getting on our level as a populace.
