Amazon’s foray into original programing has paid off yet again. Over the weekend, Amazon Studios received its first-ever Emmy awards for its original preschool series Tumble Leaf at the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The stop-motion animated series garnered wins for Outstanding Pre-school Children’s Animated Program and Outstanding Individual Achievement wins in Animation for Lead Animation, Character Design, Storyboard Art and Production Design. Tumble Leaf is the second series to earn Amazon Studios some silverware, following Transparent, which took home Golden Globes for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for star Jeffery Tambor.
