Afternoon Delight: ‘The Impossibilities’ Blends Magic, Yoga, And Sharp Wit

It’s Thursday. Which means it’s almost Friday. Which means you can probably get away with slacking a bit during your lunch hour. If you’re in need of something short and sweet to watch at your desk, we have you covered with some Afternoon Delight. This week’s pick is The Impossibilities, a new web series that follows lesbian yoga instructor-to-be Willa (Kati Rediger) and haplessly average magician Harry (Ashley Springer) as they try to pave their own way among New York City elite.

Created by Anna Kerrigan, The Impossibilities blends the top notch production value of High Maintenance and highbrow wit to tell a poignant tale of unlikely friendship between a yogi and down-on-his-luck magician who both can’t seem to catch a break in their respective careers or personal lives. In addition to being cool and quirky, one aspect that sets The Impossibilities apart from other web series fare is the acting. Kati Rediger and Ashley Springer are a pair to be reckoned with, and aspiring series creators should look to casting director Allison Twardziak. With just eight episodes clocking in at around ten minutes each, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be getting to know The Impossibilities. Watch the first episode below and check out the rest at their website.
