It’s Wednesday, which means it’s socially welcome to crush on your favorite lady. This week, we’re head over heels for It Follows star Maika Monroe. The up-and-comer has had a busy couple of years breaking into increasingly larger roles, but David Robert Mitchell‘s horror film marked Monroe’s first time as a leading lady. Click on any of the links below to see where you can stream Monroe’s filmography.

WHO’S THAT GIRL?: Dillon “Maika” Monroe Buckley

WHAT’S THE CAUSE FOR WORSHIP?: After Mitchell’s It Follows spooked the living daylights out of audiences back in the spring, Monroe went from a glanced-over character actor to a sought after indie presence. In It Follows, Monroe plays Jay, your everyday suburban teen who has a seemingly harmless one-night-stand with a handsome stranger, only to be cursed with ever-lingering phantoms that will eventually overtake her if she doesn’t sexually pass her fate to another. Desperate to save herself but also hesitant to curse another, Jay is torn and quickly running out of time in Mitchell’s incredible original smart scare.

WHERE YOU KNOW HER FROM: You may have seen her alongside Dan Stevens in the thriller The Guest and opposite Zac Efron in the rom-com At Any Price. She’s also had bit parts in The Bling Ring and in Jason Reitman’s Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.

WHERE YOU’RE GOING TO SEE HER NEXT: It Follows broke major ground for Monroe’s career, so you’ll be seeing a lot of her in the coming months. Now on VOD is the western thriller Echoes of War, where she stars opposite James Badge Dale and Ethan Embry. Next up is the sci-fi drama Bokeh about a young American couple (Monroe and Matt O’Leary) whose Icelandic vacation turns into a struggle for survival after waking up to discover everyone on Earth has disappeared. Monroe is doubling down on sci-fi adventures this year with The 5th Wave, opposite Chloë Grace Moretz, before you see her in Independence Day: Resurgence as President Whitmore’s (Bill Pullman) daughter, Patricia.
