One of the streaming era’s most critically acclaimed television shows is ready for its return. The second season of Jill Soloway’s award-winning Transparent will premiere December 4 on Amazon, reports Variety. The show, which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy in January, stars Jeffrey Tambor as Maura, a transgender woman who has just come out to her family. Praised for its emotional honesty, Soloway has promised that things will get even more real in season two. “We’re taking the gloves off,” she said. “Taking the bubble wrap off.”
