Game of Thrones has been horrifying us with horrible deaths and shocking violence since the very first episode, but last season seemed to have pushed some people a little too far. Some viewers couldn’t handle the incessant sexual assault, while others were horrified that Stannis actually went there when it came to sacrificing Shireen, and some people are still pissed off that they ended the season by presumably killing Jon Snow.

We got to thinking that all that death on Game of Thrones could use a little dose of joy. What’s the happiest show on television? Why Parks and Recreation, of course!

So, take a moment and enjoy this quick look at what life would be like if life in Westeros was a little bit more like Pawnee. Yeah, there would still be all that death and desolation, but isn’t it more palatable with the Parks and Rec theme song?
