It turns out that one of the sexiest — and most memorable — extras from the last season of Game of Thrones is actually a professional porn star!

Game of Thrones fan site Winter Is Coming uncovered a recent Cosmopolitan interview with adult film actress Samantha Bentley. The AVN winner reveals how she got into pornography and explains how she went from a sultry bathhouse extra in season four of Game of Thrones to sporting the now iconic “assless” Daenerys dress in season five:

I’d asked them if there was any chance of me returning and they said, “You had quite a lot of face time. We can’t really bring you back unless we go back to the same bathhouse [where the scene was shot].” Then I got an email last summer and it said, “Samantha, we’d really like to have you for season five,” and I just burst into tears. I was sitting there sobbing over my breakfast. I was living in Budapest at the time and they said, “We have to fly you into Ireland to do a fitting of your costume.” I remember they picked me up from the airport and took me to the Game of Thrones offices and gave me some lunch and took me to the costume designer. She showed me the [assless dress] drawings, and I was like, “Is that me?” The scene actually turned out to be really iconic in the series. Everyone’s been like, “Oh my god, that was you? You’re Daenerys with her ass out?”

If you don’t recall the scene, it’s from Season Five, Episode Three, “High Sparrow.” A frustrated Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) convinces Lord Varys to let him explore the city of Volantis — including its fabled brothels. The two men discover that Daenerys’ popularity has extended as far as the whorehouse. The most popular prostitute in the house is one who looks like the Mother of Dragons, but with her butt hanging out:

According to her twitter account, Bentley actually worked double-time in the episode: she was also the “Stranger” prostitute in Littlefinger’s whorehouse (link NSFW).

Bentley isn’t the first adult film actress to find herself in Game of Thrones. Tyrion’s lady love Shae was played by Sibil Kekilli, who moonlighted in German porn in her youth under the stage name “Dilara.”

In the Cosmopolitan interview, Bentley also explains that she’s hoping to get out of the adult film industry before she turns thirty. She’s in a stable relationship and deejaying on the side. She hopes to eventually write about her experiences in porn and to become a sex advice expert. She finishes the profile by saying, “I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been. I’ve worked ridiculously hard and I feel like everything I’ve worked for has sort of been worth it. I don’t really have any regrets at all. I think I’ve done it right.”
