Whom Do You Think Kermit’s New Girlfriend Looks Like?

In case you missed the hubbub yesterday, People broke the story that Kermit the Frog has a new girlfriend following a split from Miss Piggy last month. Kermit’s new squeeze? Another pig named Denise — who eschews the formal title of “Miss,” perhaps because she’s a feminist? — a new character on the upcoming ABC series, The Muppets. (Also, who knew Kermit had such a specific type?)

While the Internet reacted with shock and awe and a collective, “Uh, whaaaaaa?” (yours truly thought to himself, “Y’all know that… these are puppets, right?”), plenty of people noticed that Denise looked a lot like a certain scheming royal from HBO’s Game of Thrones.

That is, of course, the fine eye of New York Post Publisher and CEO Jesse Angelo, and if his Twitter mentions are any indication, his observation strikes a chord. (It’s definitely a compliment to Denise, although I’m betting Natalie Dormer doesn’t love the supposed resemblance to a felt pig.)

Of course, Dormer isn’t the only celebrity to whom Twitter users have compared Denise. For example, here’s one user who thinks she resembles the hilarious actress Olivia Wilde.

Or how about Lana Del Rey?
