It’s Wednesday, which means it’s socially acceptable to very publicly crush on your favorite lady. This week, we’re head over heels for Scream Queens starlet, Skyler Samuels, who managed to dodge Red Devil’s murderous ways in last night’s bloody pilot.

From American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the ultra campy Scream Queens follows the sorority sisters of Kappa Kappa Tau at the fictional Wallace University. At the orders of the anti-Kappa campus overlord Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), the elitist sorority is forced to open its doors to everyone this semester, not just those with trust funds, sending house leader Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) into a turbulent hissy fit. Lo and behold, however, a mysterious masked killer named Red Devil is out for anyone associated with Kappa and begins to pick off pledges one by one, seeking revenge for a hazing gone wrong twenty years before. Determined to figure out the man (or woman) behind the mask, freshman pledge Grace Gardner (Samuels) begins to delve deep into the sorority’s deadly history, but it’s risky business that could end up putting her face-to-face with Red Devil (and, unfortunately, we already saw how that ended for some last night).

WHO’S THAT GAL?: Skyler Samuels

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: The polar opposite of Chanel Oberlin’s evil wrath, Grace Gardner is the level-headed presence that keeps the sorority from spiraling completely out of control amidst the chaotic killings happening around them.

WHERE YOU KNOW HER FROM: You might remember Samuels from American Horror Story: Freak Show as Twisty the Clown’s hostage, Bonnie Lipton. You’ve also seen the 21-year-old actress in The Stepfather remake and in Mean Girls-inspired The DUFF alongside Mae Whitman. Before signing on with the Ryan Murphy crew, however, Samuels was an ABC darling, starring as the titular character in supernatural teen series The Nine Lives of Chloe King and as demoness Andie Bates in short-lived The Gates.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER NEXT: After Scream Queens, you’ll see Samuels as “Sharon #3” in Sharon 1.2.3. alongside Adventureland‘s Matt Bush as Jonah, who juggles relationships with two girls named Sharon, but meets a third Sharon (Samuels) and falls crazy in love. The comedy is set to release later this year.
