Gilmore Girls

Fifteen years ago today, the pilot for Amy Sherman-Palladino‘s mother-daughter dramedy Gilmore Girls—starring a then no-name cast of Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, and Melissa McCarthy— premiered on the WB (R.I.P.!). The witty, fast-talking series gripped audiences from the get-go, making it a DVR phenomenon long before giving the Internet a proverbial coronary when it became available on Netflix streaming last October.

Though the series ended way back in 2007, the series continues to harbor one of TV’s most obsessive fan bases: a cool 2.3 million Facebook followers, a fan-forged podcast titled Gilmore Guys, and never-ending pleas for a series or movie reunion. Back in June, the cast and series creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and husband Dan Palladino reunited for the first time in eight years at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, a gathering that likened to the hype of a rock concert. On stage at the Paramount Theater, the cast and fans from all over the world reveled in Stars Hollow nostalgia and gave hope that maybe, just maybe there could be an onscreen reunion someday.

Being that we’re so Gilmore crazy (seriously, we not only broke the news to the world the series was arriving on Netflix, but also traveled halfway across the country to attend the reunion), we’ve rounded up our favorite coverage from the last year about the series that made us feel all the feelings.
