NYCC: All The Buzz On Daredevil, The Punisher, And Jessica Jones’ Dirty “Doggy-Style” Sex Scene

Couldn’t make it to New York Comic Con (or NYCC as the kids call it) this weekend? That’s okay! We’ve got the low down on all the teasers, screenings, and low down and dirty sex scenes to come out of the panels for Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
Fans of Marvel’s Daredevil were treated to a flashy sizzle reel of season one’s best moments that culminated in our first look at season two. While the official clip hasn’t been released online yet, Uproxx tracked down a bootleg on YouTube. It’s hazy, but you can get a sneak peak at Elodie Yung‘s Elektra putting a cloth mask over her face and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) looking at an eerie “Punisher-esque” skull. The clip ends with Frank “The Punisher” Castle (Jon Bernthal) toting a gun down a hospital hallway, demanding someone to “beg.” Looks like Hell’s Kitchen’s going to offer up a few more demons for Daredevil to chase down next season. Variety has a rundown of the entire Daredevil panel. The stars of the show were all in attendance, along with some new faces for season two — and we’re not just talking about Yung and Bernthal. Marvel’s Daredevil will have two new show runners next season: Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez. Judging by their comments, they seem to get the world that their predecessors, Drew Goddard and Steven DeKnight, so perfectly set up last season. Ramirez told the crowd: “You wanted grounded, you wanted dark, here’s Elektra, here’s Punisher.” If you want to see the full panel for yourself, Marvel has an official — if rather awkwardly shot — video on YouTube.

Of course, Daredevil isn’t Marvel and Netflix’s only big collaboration. The Daredevil panel was followed up by one for the hotly anticipated Marvel’s Jessica Jones. The series doesn’t debut until November 20, but fans were treated to an exclusive screening of the first episode. While attendees are sworn to secrecy, the early buzz is great. Vulture‘s Abraham Riesman was particularly struck by how the show tackles sex. It’s apparently the first ever Marvel film or series to feature a prominent homosexual character and there’s a jaw-dropping scene where Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has hard sex with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) “doggy-style.” (For the record, the scene is lifted directly from the comics.) We also finally got confirmation on who Carrie-Ann Moss is playing. She’ll be co-starring as Jeryn Hogarth, a high-flying lesbian lawyer who also has ties to Iron Fist, the fourth “Defender” character set to have his own Netflix show.

If you can’t wait until November 20 to see Jessica Jones and Luke Cage get it on, may we offer this tame teaser? It’s the latest in a string of clever clips that Netflix has put out to promote the new series. Click here for more on Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
