Afternoon Delight: Lisa Kudrow-Produced ‘Sh*tty Boyfriends’ Is Solace For Your Own Sh*tty Love Life

It’s Thursday. Which means it’s almost Friday. Which means you can slack off a bit during your lunch hour. Cue: Afternoon Delight: Decider’s own curation of the best of short-form content, including the Internet’s wittiest web series. This week’s pick, Shitty Boyfriends, hails from lifestyle site Refinery 29, creator Jessica Cabot, and executive producers Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky.

Starring Melissa Hunter as Amanda, whose love life is is relatively non-existent after repeatedly attracting the worst of the worst of the male race. An artist and aspiring animator any guy would be lucky to land, Amanda is plagued with being a magnet for manchildren who would rather play with Nerf guns than, erm, reciprocate on Valentine’s Day. Backed by Kudrow’s and Bucatinsky’s Is or Isn’t Entertainment (the same production house responsible for Kudrow’s Web Therapy and The Comeback on HBO) and New Form Digital, Cabot’s Shitty Boyfriends is an entertaining, sharp take on an everygirl’s less-than-fabulous experience finding the one — or, at least someone competent enough to know no girl in history has ever wanted a gift from the clearance bin at Bath & Body Works. Come on, dude. Check out the first episode below and watch the rest on Refinery 29’s YouTube channel.
