Sexy And Streaming: 15 New Hotties We’re Thankful For In 2015

The time has come for us to all take a moment and think about what we’re thankful for this year. Needless to say, we’re all thankful for health, home, and happiness, but we’re also grateful that streaming introduced us to so many new faces to crush on in 2015.

The fifteen people on this list all came to the forefront of our attention thanks to streaming services this year. Some of them are up-and-coming actors whose breakthrough roles wandered onto Netflix or Prime Video. Others are fresh-faces who stole the show on our favorite original series. There are Amazon beauties, Netflix hotties, and one devastatingly handsome (and crazily talented) director. Both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson make appearances, but we’re only lusting after one of them in Fifty Shades of Grey. There is a man giving Mr. Darcy a run for his money and an international beauty storming the United States. Oh, there’s even a reality star! But we promise she’s the last reality star you’d ever expect to see on a list like this. She isn’t a Kardashian and she’s never appeared on Bravo. Instead, she’s hot because of what she’s baking in the kitchen.

Check out our fifteen favorite new hotties of 2015. We weren’t crushing on them in 2014, but we’re definitely going to be swooning over all of them well into 2016.

Alicia Vikander - Ex Machina
Alicia Vikander's doe-eyes and dancer's physique turned Ex Machina's android Ava into a ingenue for the computer age -- and her stellar acting talent transformed the character into a new kind of femme fatale. In any case, we've never been so hot for hardware before.

Dakota Johnson - Fifty Shades of Grey
A year ago, no one would have predicted that Dakota Johnson would be the breakout star of Fifty Shades of Grey. Nevertheless, Johnson wowed audiences worldwide with her subtle performance and girl-next-door-(sex)-appeal.

Jamie Dornan - The Fall
Even if Jamie Dornan didn't do it for you as Christian Grey in this year's Fifty Shades of Grey, you have to admit that he is super hot (in a super creepy way) in The Fall. The British crime drama and Netflix Original pits Dornan's brooding serial killer against Gillian Anderson's vampy detective.

Ruby Rose - Orange Is The New Black
The big buzz around Litchfield this summer centered around a super sexy new inmate named Stella Carlin. Actress Ruby Rose became everyone's crush overnight when she strutted into the cell block and flirted up a storm with pretty much everyone. As it turns out, Stella was way more naughty than she was nice... But doesn't that kind of make us all want her more?

Priyanka Chopra - Quantico
Priyanka Chopra was already a major deal in the rest of the world, but she conquered America this fall as Alex Parrish on the hit show Quantico. The soapy thriller follows Alex as she tries to clear her name and as she maintains the most perfect hair on television.

Cary Joji Fukunaga - Beasts of No Nation
Cary Joji Fukunaga is the rare hottie behind the camera. The breathtakingly handsome director is the man behind Netflix's Oscar hopeful Beast of No Nation and season one of True Detective. Let's just say his stock rose when we saw True Detective season two and realized that he was the one responsible for most of the series' initial success.

Alexa Davalos - The Man In The High Castle
The Man In The High Castle might feature an ensemble of incredible male talent, but it's a single new heroine who stands out. Alexa Davalos stars as Juliana Crain, an idealistic martial artist who goes on an odyssey to learn the truth about her Nazi-controlled world.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw - Beyond The Lights
The exquisite Gugu Mbatha-Raw has been steadily making a name for herself in critically-acclaimed films, but she takes center stage in Gina Prince-Bythewood's glorious Beyond The Lights. The sexy film hit Netflix this summer and swiftly became our favorite new romance.

Aidan Turner - Poldark
Watch out Mr. Darcy! There's a new British gent crossing the pond to steal all of our hearts. Irish actor Aidan Turner became an international sex symbol this summer when he did some farm work without a shirt on. Get hip to Poldark before it becomes the next Downton Abbey next year! (Note: Poldark was free to stream on PBS earlier this year, but you'll have to watch it on VOD until it lands on Prime Video.)

Jussie Smollett - Empire
It's hard to believe, but Empire only debuted this past year. Since its premiere on January 7, 2015, the drama has rewritten the game -- and that's in huge thanks to the talents of Jussie Smollett's Jamal Lyon. He has the best songs, the best storylines, and the best bod. Cookie might be the pulse of Empire, but Jamal is the show's beating heart.

Amy Schumer - Inside Amy Schumer
2015 was the year that Amy Schumer took over comedy. The stand up turned starlet has always lampooned our society's obsession with sex, but she took it to a new level on Inside Amy Schumer this year. She not only mocked men for their asinine obsession with women's behinds, but became a pin up in her own right.

Oscar Isaac - Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Oscar Isaac has been on the rise for a few years now, but the Juilliard alum is finally set to be catapulted into the stratosphere. He plays Resistance pilot Poe Dameron in this winter's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film won't be out until December 18, but it's already breaking box office records. The original teaser has been streamed close to 75 million times on just one upload alone. Some people might have been re-watching it for clues, but we couldn't stop watching it for a glimpse of Mr. Isaac.

Martha - The Great British Baking Show
You might be scratching your head as to why this sweet and innocent English rose is on our list, but we defy you to stream The Great British Baking Show without crushing on Martha. The fresh-faced teen was always kind, courageous, and great in the kitchen...er, tents.

Miguel Ángel Silvestre - Sense8
Technically, every one of the sensates on Sense8 is a brand new hottie that we're thankful for in 2015, but we have a soft spot for Miguel Ángel Silvestre. The devastatingly handsome Spanish actor plays the closeted gay actor Lito with a rare mix of sweetness and humor that gives us all sorts of sensations.
