What’s New on Video on Demand This Weekend: ‘Ted 2,’ ‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,’ and More

Where to Stream:

Ted 2

Powered by Reelgood

Don’t get it twisted, your streaming selections are in no way limited to what’s new on Netflix or Hulu. From Seth MacFarlane comedies to young adult dystopian adaptations and everything in between, there’s a large amount of new movies now available to either digitally buy or rent. We’ve found what’s new on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Vimeo, M-Go, Fandor, Vudu, and more to bring you the best list of what you can watch this weekend.

BUDDY WATCH: Ted 2

The thunder buddies are back, and the roles have reversed in this raunchy sequel. John (Mark Wahlberg) is now a bachelor and his best friend Ted (Seth MacFarlane) is now married to the love of his life and looking to adopt a child. There’s only one problem: the law sees everyone’s favorite cursing teddy bear as a piece of property, not a person. Though it’s not as good as the original, this sequel has enough hijinks to make any night with your bestie a delight.

WHAT THE KIDS ARE WATCHING: Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

In this adaptation of James Dashner’s second novel in The Maze Runner series, our teenage protagonists find themselves in trouble after uncovering a secret plan from a powerful and diabolical organization. This dystopian young adult sci-fi adventure is more ambitious than the original and is a good addition to any thrill-focused binge.

WHEN YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE COMEDY CLUB: Bianca Del Rio: Rolodex of Hate

Winner of Season Six of RuPaul’s Drag Race (sorry if that’s a spoiler), Bianca Del Rio proved that she was a force to be reckoned with. This week, check out her new standup special and learn why The New York Times named Del Rio “the Joan Rivers of the drag world.” If that doesn’t hit your fix of fabulousness, check out this Decider interview with the catty comedian.
