Yahoo’s video service, Yahoo Screen, is no more. Last week, the company shuttered the video hub two years after it launched, reports Variety. Yahoo Screen was the company’s ambitious plan to get in on the streaming video market and hosted everything from live NFL games to licensed content to original series like Community, but failed to take off and resulted in a whopping $42 million writedown last year. According to the magazine, Yahoo’s video properties won’t disappear, but will be instead spread out amongst its digital magazines.
