Happy Wednesday! You know what that means. It’s that time of the week where you can unabashedly declare which ladies you’ve been hardcore crushing on. At Decider, we like to make a weekly point of saying ‘YAAAS‘ to a badass member of team woman, and today our queen is Britt Lower, who, thanks to her recent appearances on the big and small screens in Sisters and Man Seeking Woman, is making quite a name for herself in the comedy community.
Premiering its second season tonight on FXX is Man Seeking Woman, a surrealist rom-com from the mind of Simon Rich and producer Lorne Michaels. Starring Jay Baruchel as hapless, hopeless romantic, Josh, the over-the-top comedy series follows our lonely protagonist through the ups and downs (but mostly downs) of dating in today’s nightmarish world of dating. Thanks to his best friend, Mike (Eric André), and older sister, Liz (Lower), however, Josh has a somewhat reliable support system of hipster misfits. Used to being the only straight man of the group, Liz is often a hired guide to Josh and Mike, despite having a few issues in her own love life. But take the reins she does and lucky for her, she’s become the much-needed rock of the bonkers series. Get to know more about Lower in her non-Liz roles before you begin to see the actress popping up everywhere.

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Because Lower is as badass as she is funny. And that’s one of our favorite combos.
WHERE YOU KNOW HER FROM: Starring in over 20 projects in the last five years, Britt Lower is grinding it out and well, the comedy community is noticing. In addition to Man Seeking Woman, you can find Lower in Tina Fey-Amy Poehler romp, Sisters, which has remained near the top of the box office since its December 18 release. If you’re one for primetime crime series, you may also recall her from CBS’ Unforgettable.
WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER NEXT: If you’re well versed in the indie festival circuit, you might recognize Lower from horror sci-fi flick, The Shells, Julian Branciforte’s dramedy Don’t Worry Baby, and romance Those People. Expect to see more of the emerging actress in upcoming sci-fi thriller, Domain, out later this year.
