Final Shots: Netflix Is Making A Cartoon Based On Stretch Armstrong

Netflix is hoping a trip to the toy store will pay off big. The streaming service is expanding its family viewing options with a new animated series based on the Hasbro action figure Stretch Armstrong, reports The Verge. Although details are still scarce, the show will presumably focus on the titular character, a blonde bodybuilder who can stretch to “insane lengths.” Set to debut in 2017, the 26 episode series is the first collaboration between Netflix and the toy company – which also counts Transformers, My Little Pony and G.I. Joe among its catalog of properties. Here’s hoping the series fares better than the announced Taylor Lautner-starring movie that never got off the ground.
