The Revenant went into Oscar night being the most-nominated film and the clear front-runner for Best Picture, but so far the film has come up empty and Mad Max: Fury Road has snatched up the most awards so far. The hip dystopian action thriller’s first win of the night? For Jenny Beavan‘s outstanding Costume Design. However, in a blink-and-you’d-miss-it moment, The Revenant‘s director Alejandro González Iñárritu gave the costume designer some serious side-eye as she walked to the stage to claim her prize.

You’ll notice that as soon as Iñárritu turns and sees Beavan, who was sporting some seriously alternative Oscar night duds, his eyes bulge in rudeness.

To add insult to eye roll, Iñárritu is one of the only people seated in the auditorium with his arms crossed across his chest like a sore loser baby. And why should he be acting so rudely? Well, maybe because Mad Max: Fury Road‘s slew of wins could spell doom for his film’s chances at Best Picture and his shot at back-to-back Best Director wins. Or maybe his arms are crossed because he can’t handle how cold it is in the Dolby Theatre? Brr…
