Final Shots: Idris Elba And Matthew McConaughey To Star In Stephen King’s ‘The Dark Tower’

Feeling ambivalent about another Stephen King adaptation? Well, the cast of The Dark Tower movie might change your mind. Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey are set to star in the big screen adaptation of the beloved series of western-inspired fantasy books, reports Entertainment Weekly. Directed by A Royal Affair‘s Nikolaj Arcel, the movie tells the story of the gunslinger Roland Deschain (Elba) and his arch nemesis, “the man in black” (McConaughey). The film would presumably be the first of many, as the series, which King considers his magnum opus, consists of eight novels and a novella released over the course of four decades. Dark Tower is expected to hit theaters next January.
