Final Shots: Google To Rally Streaming Titans With YouTube Connect Live Video App

Most techies have been curious as to when Google would jump on board the live video streaming bandwagon and today you have your answer. YouTube Connect is Google’s response to the successful launch of Facebook Live and will allow users to livestream via the web directly from their smartphones, according to N4BB. Some Samsung Galaxy phones have already had the capability to live stream within the YouTube app and the YouTube Creator Studio has also allowed it. However, the rumors are now pointing towards a more widespread launch of the service, which many feel should have been the pioneer. Those who download the app will be able to stream their favorite movies and shows by logging in with a YouTube or Google account, and although it will not initially support Facebook or Twitter, there will be an option to tag and chat with other users. The Google developer conference will take place in May so we may see the app’s debut sooner than later. What a day to be alive.
