Final Shots: BitTorrent To Launch Video Streaming Service With Both Free And Paid Subscription Options

Let’s face it, with the growing number of streaming platforms that are currently available, there not only isn’t enough time in a day to watch everything you’d like to, but the thought of paying for yet another video service isn’t too attractive. That is, unless they win you over with a free option at first.  According to Forbes, that’s exactly what BitTorrent has announced they will do in the near future. At the helm of the company’s newly-appointed CEO’s, the new platform — which is currently in its development stages — will also offer both paid subscription, as well as pay-per-view options just like Amazon Video. The currently nameless app, which will be made available for Android and iOS, rather than on your Roku or Amazon Fire Stick, will model itself after BitTorrent Live, similarly to old-school television.
