When you see a film titled All American Orgy popping up on Amazon Prime, you expect that it’s going to be a crazy, fun, dirty, sexy romp. I mean, why wouldn’t you? That title promises smut! That title promises sex! That title hints at a bunch of corn-fed suburbanites getting down and dirty in a barn or something.
What you don’t want to see is a bunch of nervous, super-emotional people awkwardly talking about how they should totally have an orgy — and then failing to follow through with it because of anxiety. Unfortunately, that’s what All-American Orgy is. It’s a dark cerebral comedy about how orgies are ultimately unfulfilling.
Don’t worry: There is one “dirty” sex scene in this film. Unfortunately, it’s one of the most uncomfy sex scenes I’ve ever seen in my entire life. One man sleeps with another man’s unhappy wife while every watches. The woman’s husband holds her hand and compares her ordeal to labor, instructing her to breathe as though she’s giving birth. No one is happy and it gets pushed to borderline rape-y place. So, no, this is not a fun consensual sex romp. It is a dark and perverse comedy of errors, though!
