Months before Suicide Squad even comes out, Warner Bros. are reportedly working on a female-centric spinoff of the film starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The charismatic actress would also likely aid in the production of the film.

Although the anti-heroine (and once sidekick/girlfriend of the Joker) would nab the leading role, the film would potentially focus on several of DC’s female heroes and villains. Thus far, two additional character names have leaked out of the DC camp including Batgirl and Birds of Prey, with more likely to follow if and when there is an official announcement. The film has yet-to-be titled and its supposed female scriptwriter has yet-to-be announced, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
