Wednesday, it so good to see you. That means the weekend is almost here, and a long one at that. We’ve still got a ways to go, but instead of focusing on that, let’s think about something we can appreciate right now: the talents of one our favorite actresses. Do you feel that? It’s a Woman Crush Wednesday coming on.
The long weekend approaching gives us not just an extra day to chill out, but even more time to see X-Men: Apocalypse, in theaters on Friday. And after all the fun of 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, consider our excitement levels high.

WHO’S THAT GAL?: Olivia Munn
WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Olivia is no n00b to the world of acting, but we have a feeling she’s going to get A LOT of people talking after they see her in X-Men: Apocalypse. Her character, Psylocke, is straight out of the comic books as one of Apocalypse’s (Oscar Issac) four hoursemen, so, on the team with the bad guys. Fans were thrilled when the news of her casting broke, and that is always a good sign. Plus, she posted this video of her training, and she is seriously good.

Learned some new tricks…

Anyone who is able to kick that much butt and rock purple highlights and a leotard at the same time, gets a thumbs up from us.
WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Olivia rose to fame as a co-host on G4TV’s Attack of the Show!, proving she was just the right combo of sexy, nerdy, smart and funny. Since then she’s landed guest spots on TV shows like Greek, Chuck, and New Girl. She starred on the short-lived sitcom Perfect Couples, and was undoubtedly one of the highlights of HBO’s The Newsroom. Olivia’s got the talent and the brains to navigate that Aaron Sorkin dialogue, and that’s quite the accomplishment. She’s flaunted her comedy chops with memorable roles in movies like Date Night, The Babymakers, I Don’t Know How She Does It, Magic Mike, Mortdecai, and Ride Along 2. Homegirl held it together opposite the likes of Tina Fey, Channing Tatum and Kevin Hart, so yeah, we’re crushing.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Olivia is currently working on the movie Office Christmas Party with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, and while her post-X-Men schedule doesn’t seem all that jam packed at the moment, that is sure to change any day now. Remember how we all (rightfully) couldn’t shut up about that crazy Quicksilver (Evan Peters) kitchen scene in Days of Future Past? Well we’re calling it: this film will be Olivia’s moment.
To prepare for this role, Olivia had to go on a pretty crazy diet, so we hope she’s getting to dig into some fries right about now. And Olivia? If you want any company, we’re always available for you, and for fries.
