Whoo hoo, Wednesday’s here! We just left the long weekend and yet another weekend is only a few short days away. It feels great, almost like that feeling of having a total girl crush. And would you look at that? We’ve got another Woman Crush Wednesday on our hands.
Last week, Adam Sandler’s latest flick The Do-Over hit Netflix. It’s not all bad! And certainly an improvement on some of his more recent endeavors. It stars Sandler and David Spade as two guys who decide to have a “do-over” and assume different identities to start their life again. Except one of those identities? It comes with some baggage, including a wife played by Paula Patton.
Does it even get any prettier than Patton? While she’s not quite given the role of a lifetime with The Do-Over, we do get to see a different side of her, and she gets to run around in a bunch of cute dresses for her part in the film. If you did’t already have a crush, you sure as hell will. Not that our woman crush started there! Oh no, it’s been around for quite some time. Let’s take a look at Patton’s path to woman crush status.

WHO’S THAT GAL?: Paula Patton

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Don’t get it twisted: Paula is not just a pretty face. She’s starred opposite Tom Cruise and Taye Diggs, and if we had to guess, she made THEM a little weak in the knees. She’s the kinda gal you call when you need someone really beautiful…who can also kick ass, crack a joke, and flash that smile to convince you of anything at all. Patton is basically the actress version of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup: she can be sweet or salty, but either way, she’s good every time.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Patton scored small roles in movies like Hitch, Idlewild, and Swing Vote. Everyone started to take notice when she laded in films such as Deja Vu, Precious and Just Wright. And then came her next wave of roles in Jumping the Broom and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol that really raised eyebrows. You didn’t forget that green dress did you?
Since then she’s landed on the big screen in 2 Guns, Baggage Claim, About Last Night and The Perfect Match.
WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: If you haven’t watched The Do-Over just yet, it’s available now on Netflix. Plus, next week she’ll hit theaters in the video game to movie adaptation of Warcraft as Garona. From the trailer, she appears to be one of the only characters not in need of big time makeup or CGI. Duh, just look at her!
