Are you in need of a fun, new summer watch? Then Showtime has you covered. Last weekend marked the premiere of the new Showtime series Roadies, which chronicles the behind-the-scenes hard work and drama that goes into putting on a rock concert. You wouldn’t think watching a road crew plan, argue, and scramble would be fun to watch, but in the hands of series creator Cameron Crowe this imaginably boring part part of the music industry feels exciting.
A lot of this excitement can also be accredited to the show’s cast. Though the episodes of Roadies are drama-length, clocking in around 45 minutes apiece, there’s a refreshing comedic vibe about the series. The show’s prevalence on comedy isn’t too surprising when you realize the show’s cast is filled with beloved comedy stars, including Luke Wilson, comedian Ron White, and comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member, Finesse Mitchell.
We wanted to see how well Mitchell knew his famous co-star with an equally famous brother, Luke Wilson.
