Netflix unveiled a second official trailer for its forthcoming series Stranger Things, starring Winona Ryder. In the riveting new clip (which blew us away), the cast scrambles to find a missing boy all while trying to make sense of a peculiar young girl’s appearance near the site of his disappearance. The efforts of the boy’s family, friends, and local police are thwarted by top-secret government experiments and terrifying supernatural forces.

The brand new original series is being helmed by the co-creators of Wayward Pines, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, who also write, direct and executive produce the series. The show’s director Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum) will also serve as executive producers. All eight episodes of the Spielberg-esque thriller are set to premiere on the platform on July 15.

Director Albert Brooks had a few casual threats for Netflix, speaking sarcastically about a possible kidnapping he committed in a new clip aimed at the platform. Brooks’ classic films including Lost in America and The Muse are finally coming to Netflix on July 1:
