We kicked off the week by celebrating America, so why not keep the party going? It’s the middle of the week, so there’s officially no better time than now to honor our latest Woman Crush Wednesday!

This week’s #WCW goes to comedian, actress, and Ghostbuster, Leslie Jones. She’s that gal that can steal every sketch, every scene and every moment she’s on screen. And with the release of the new Ghostbusters movie next week, get ready to see Leslie everywhere, because you know she ain’t afraid of no ghosts.

In fact, our WCW got a lot of attention last week because of the premiere of the movie, and it didn’t even happen yet! She tweeted that no designers were jumping at the chance to dress her for the red carpet, which, what??

Luckily, Christian Siriano jumped to the rescue and will be dressing her for the premiere, probably in something absolutely stunning, but honestly, it would be amazing if this were just the start of a buddy cop comedy. Those two together are a dream team. So Leslie is not only taking over Hollywood, but she’s about to be taking the fashion world by storm as well, and here’s why.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Leslie Jones

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Leslie brings an energy to the screen like no one else, and certainly like none of her fellow Saturday Night Live castmates. This is a lady that demands any and all attention within a 100 mile radius around her at all times. Whether she’s in an SNL sketch, a big flashy movie, a red carpet, or even if you saw her enjoying a meal at your local Olive Garden, you’d want to be in her company. She can be loud and excitable or simply flash a knowing look, but it is her flirtation with Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost that is the most fun. She brings a confident, hilarious, lust-filled joy to their interactions that only gets better with his awkwardness. Her recurring relationship segments continually create some of the most must-see moments on SNL each week.

Really, you can pair her with any slightly timid white man, and it will be comedy gold, as this recently-viral clip of her watching Game of Thrones with Seth Meyers proved.

Oh, and just wait until she gets in a room with Chris Hemsworth in Ghostbusters.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Leslie has been an integral part of the SNL team since 2014, and only continues to bring more of her unique self to the show each year. Her hilarious stand-up special, Problem Child, is available on Netflix and is not to be missed. Plus, she stole the show with memorable roles in Chris Rock’s Top Five and Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: She teams up with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon to bust ghosts next week, and she shouldn’t be too surprised if the movie roles start flowing her way after that. Take note, Siriano: you’re going to be a busy man. Plus, she’ll appear in Masterminds with Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson this fall, and be back to hitting on Colin Jost for the next season of SNL. And just to be clear, if she has a spare moment in between all of that excitement, we’re down for unlimited salad and breadsticks whenever she is available.
