Aaron Rodgers Said A Lot About His Brother Jordan By Saying Nothing At All

On this week’s episode of The Bachelorette, Jordan Rodgers finally let us in on his little (read: not little) secret. All season long, he’s been known as NFL player Aaron Rodgers’ brother, a title that Jordan has laughed off with a cocky ass smile, and now we know why.

It’s not that being Aaron’s brother is NBD to him, or that he’s totally humble about the whole thing. It’s that Aaron has a better relationship with Chicago Bears fans than he does with his own brother. Jordan told JoJo that he’s not in touch with Aaron, they don’t really speak, but that, oh, he still loves him. Ok, buddy. It sounds like things went super south with these bros and, Aaron especially, has no plans of changing that. The Bachelorette viewers were given a peek at next week’s episode that alluded to other members of the Rodgers fam echoing Jordan’s sentiments, that, in fact, Aaron is the black sheep.

Well, we didn’t have to wait that long to hear Aaron diss his brother even harder: by doing nothing at all. He appeared on Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons last night, and Jordan nor his time on The Bachelorette was ever discussed. At all. Now, did Aaron give Bill a firm, “Don’t bring it up, bro”? Because Bill knew what he was doing. He Tweeted a picture of Aaron on set to tease his appearance on the show, riling up millions of viewers who are decidedly #TeamLuke or #TeamRobby or even #TeamChase: aka, not #TeamJordan.

But during the interview, we got no verbal clues from Aaron about his brother, proving that sometimes it really is what you DON’T say that speaks the loudest. Of course Jordan couldn’t wait to flap his mouth about his superstar brother because Chad was right, their blood connection is the only interesting thing about Jordan. Aaron, on the other hand, has better shit to worry about. For real. He spent a large portion of his interview detailing the two concussions he’s had and what the NFL can do to prevent this problem for other players.

Leave it to Aaron to have the perfect response to Jordan’s bumbling, by having no response at all.
