YouTube has announced that they will be the official live streaming partner for both of the upcoming Republican and Democratic National Conventions later this July. The platform will provide “gavel-to-gavel coverage” of the conventions as well as a 360 degree stream, so viewers can feel what it’s like to be in the center of the action.
According to a press release, a select group of top YouTube creators will host each convention, reporting back to their communities. Commentators will utilize new tools including mobile live streaming and Jump VR cameras. The Republican National Convention will start this Monday, July 18 in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by the Democratic National Convention, which kicks off on July 25 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

According to a press release, Amazon has now confirmed that they will co-produce and release the next two seasons of their hit Prime Video original series, Catastrophe. Written by and starring Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan, Season 3 & 4 had already been greenlit this week by Channel 4, who will handle distribution in the UK.
Netflix has nabbed a brand new marijuana-centric comedy series to be titled Disjointed from writer/producer Chuck Lorre.
