The season 3 premiere of Power was so incredibly powerful that Starz immediately ordered a fourth and a fifth season. Damn! So, clearly this is a cast that can identify power when they see it.
Which is good because we put them to the test. When we sat down with the cast, we had them tell us in no uncertain terms which item was more powerful: Sex or drugs? Pancakes or waffles? Romance or bromance? Twitter or Snapchat? And even, Kim Kardashian or Taylor Swift?
Now, we must provide a disclaimer with that one: we conducted these interviews about a month ago, so this was weeks before the #KimExposedTaylorParty. Perhaps if they saw the damning Snapchats they would have a different answer to a couple of those questions…but probably not. See how Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, showrunner Courtney A. Kemp and star/executive producer 50 Cent answered all of the tricky questions.
And as dramatic as the Snapchats, the subsequent Tweets, and thinkpieces all were, it’s nothing compared to the drama going down on Power this season. If you’re wondering: who is more powerful on the show? Well, that’s anyone’s guess, including the stars themselves. In fact, the answer to that will probably be changing every single week. The only thing we DO know, is that we’ll be watching.
